Media tycoon Peter Mukerjea, today, has been charged with the murder of his step-daughter, Sheena Bora.
Indrani Mukherjea and her husband Peter Mukerjea, were produced before a special Central Bureau of Investigation court in Mumbai.
Peter Mukerjea was arrested on Thursday by the CBI in connection with the probe into the 2012 murder of Sheena Bora.
Peter Mukerjea’s arrest came hours after the CBI filed a chargesheet against Sheena’s mother Indrani, her stepfather Sanjeev Khanna, and Indrani’s former driver Shyamvar Rai, in the Esplanade court, in Mumbai.
CBI also questioned Peter’s son, Rahul Mukerjea, for over 12 hours, in Mumbai. Rahul, who was said to be in a relationship with Sheena, was called to the Central Bureau of Investigation’s (CBI) office in south Mumbai last night, PTI reported.
The investigating agency also filed a chargesheet in the case, three months after Sheena Bora’s remains were found in a forest near Mumbai.
Sheena Bora was allegedly murdered by her mother Indrani Mukerjea, Indrani’s former husband Sanjeev Khanna and her former driver Shyamvar Rai, in April 2012. The body of the 24-year-old was dumped in a forest in the neighbouring Raigad district.
