Donald Trump elected US President, to take charge on January 20 next

After a 1hectic day, billionaire-politician Donald Trump has been elected as the 45th President of the United States. The Republican party candidate got the support of 276 of the 538 members of the electoral college and succeeded in beating Democrat candidate and rival Hillary Clinton in a shocking win in the US presidential elections.

According to media reports, President-elect Trump will formally take over charge of the Oval office on January 20 next year.

Meanwhile, Clinton called on Trump to concede the US presidential election.

Trump who is a novice in politics and has not held public office, unlike Clinton, was till some time ago more known for his loud hosting on a popular television series. Heading a business empire, Trump’s campaign was known for its misogynist tilt. During the campaign, he once even called for banning all Muslims from entering the United States. He also went to the extent of calling Mexican immigrants criminals and drug peddlers.
