Home minister Rajnath Singh, recently addressed the media, where he said that, “India is aware of the looming threats by the ISIS and is taking precautionary steps. The world needs to come together as one to combat ISIS.”
The MEA has ordered all the states to keep a close watch on people who are suspected of having links with ISIS, right across the country. Cities like, London, Rome and Washington D.C are taking precautionary measures to tighten security as the whole world has been put under high alert, following the terrifying 13/11 carnage in Paris, that left 132 dead.
While speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the Asia Leaders’ meeting and second ISDR Asia partnership, the home minister said that there is a possibility of ISIS led attacks in India and the country needs to be on high alert.
He remarked that the ISIS threat is a “global challenge” which is not directed towards any particular nation, rather it is a global problem, which requires nations from all over the world to come together and fight against it.
He declined to comment o the ongoing protests by filmmakers and writers, as well as the issue of India being an intolerant country.
