According to reports, both met on Facebook and later decided to meet in a three-star hotel in Vasant Kunj area of the city where they indulged in a physical relationship. The woman locked the boy inside the room and informed the Police, who on arriving got confused as the boy, in turn, blamed the woman for the rape.
According to reports, the woman alleged that the boy came in contact with her on Facebook and became her friend. She said the boy flattered her to go to a hotel which he had booked and offered her a spiked drink. She said after she consumed the drink and fell unconscious, the boy raped her.
Contrary to these allegations, the boy reported that it was the woman who befriended him on the social networking website and repeatedly forced him to meet her. The boy claimed that he was a just 17-year-old and did not have enough money to book the hotel room and it was the woman who booked the room and took him there. He also added that after consuming alcohol she asked him to have sex with her.
The boy also claimed that later she locked him inside and called the police. He told the police that earlier he avoided meeting her because he was bedridden due to an accident, but the female still didn’t stop from chasing her.
Both the statements confused the police who in turn took both to the Vasant Kunj police station and filed cross FIRs under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 and Indian Penal Code. However, no arrests have been made yet.
According to police, early investigations reveal this to be a case of honey-trap.
