The high profile Madhya Pradesh Vyapam scam is getting murkier with every passing day. This time, a trainee sub-inspector has been found dead, under mysterious circumstances, in a lake in Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh, this Monday morning.
Anushka Kushwaha, a trainee sub-inspector at Sagar Police Academy, said to have been recruited through Vyapam, has reportedly committed suicide. Her body was discovered from a pond this morning, at about 5 am.
According to the eye witnesses, who call it a ‘suicide’, Kushwaha jumped to death into the pond. Though, the police officers rushed the sub-inspector to the hospital, yet she could not be saved and was declared brought dead by the doctors.
So far, the death toll in Vyapam scam has soared beyond 40, with accounting two more deaths in last two days. One that of the Dean of the Jabalpur Medical College, Dr Arun Sharma, as well as Aaj Tak journalist, Akshay Singh.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, Shiv Raj Singh Chouhan, has said that, not every death should be linked to the Vyapam scam.
