Flamboyant Indian Test skipper and skipper of the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL, Virat Kohli is set to make a foray into a business venture as he plans to start his own chain of gyms and fitness centres across the country. The gyms will be launched under the brand name Chisel, which is jointly owned by Kohli, Chisel Fitness and CSE, the sister concern of Cornerstone Sport & Entertainment that manages the cricketer, the Economic Times reported.

We are also in talks with international sports-based fitness experts to bring in their expertise,” said Sinha, director of Chisel Fitness, a Bangalore-based startup that specializes in corporate fitness.
“The gyms are just a start. There are plans on the anvil to launch fitness inspired clothing lines and tech wearables in the future,” said Gaurav Marya, chairman of Franchise India, which is a commercial and marketing partner in this venture.
The total investment to launch 75 centers in a period of three years is around Rs 90 crore, the report said. Recently, India ODI captain MS Dhoni entered into fitness business after launching his line of gyms, Sports Fit and flamboyant all – rounder Yuvraj Singh too invested an undisclosed amount as seed funding in a mobile phone-based beauty and wellness startup Vyomo. Kohli is also a co owner of the Indian Super League Franchise team FC Goa.
