Venkatesh Prasad appointed chairman of selectors, Shirke as BCCI secretary


VKFormer pacer, Venkatesh Prasad has replaced Sandeep Patil as the BCCI’s new chairperson of selectors. Parasad, who is from Bengaluru, will represent South Zone in the five-man senior selection panel.

Apart from Prasad, Sarandeep Singh (North Zone), Abey Kuruvilla (West Zone), Subroto Banerjee (East Zone) and Rajesh Chauhan (Central Zone) are other selectors on the panel.

The 87th Annual General Meeting of the Board for Control of Cricketers’ in India (BCCI) took the decision to name the senior selection committee on September 21 in Mumbai.

Meanwhile, Ajay Shirke has been re-elected as the secretary of the BCCI.
