We must congratulate the marketing genius who decided to put Katrina Kaif on a cold drink bottle, because sometimes Kat is all the refreshment we need. Just returned from the London schedule for Yash Chopra’s untitled film, Kaif is awestruck at Senior Chopra’s “sharpness” at detecting her mood swings on set, inspite of his age. While on the subject of directors-not-in-their-twenties, Kat also told reporters that “with all his knowledge and intellect, Prakash Jha is extremely knowledgeable and intellectual”. Our tall drink of water knows the glass is always full, even if it’s just bubbles and hot air.
Risky After Whiskey
Even the moon is not enough. Dissatisfied with playing a stripper and giving us a tantalising glimpse of his behind, John Abraham has now decided to expand his oeuvre; and has turned into an ‘item producer’. He just finished shooting a promotional video for his film Vicky Donor (starring the numerologically-afflicted Ayushmann Khurrana). The song is called Rum Whiskey. Let’s hope he ropes in several tall drinks of water to help with the hangover.
We hope someone is keeping count of all the places in India that Amitabh Bachchan is claiming to belong to. The list began with AB’s hometown in Uttar Pradesh and then included Maharashtra, his place of work. Soon, Bachchan was playing ambassador for Gujarat, and most recently, he has decided that Chennai is where he has always belonged. We appreciate the patriotism, but worry about all the places the littlest B will eventually have to memorise when filling out school forms. As grandfather knows, paper trails can be a messy affair.

Old Is Gold
After his bedraggled jacket-with-harem-pants look in Rockstar, Ranbir Kapoor was recently spotted trying on a more mature avatar. Bespectacled, in a white kurta, with a receding hairline, RK Junior was quick to assure fans that he was just trying out a new look for a TV commercial. We’re waiting for tinseltown to start talking about RK as a ‘serious actor’ in hushed tones any moment now. Remember when cousin Kareena Kapoor wore a sari for the first time in Chameli annd tabloids heralded the new Sharmila Tagore?
