US Open 2015 : Peerless Leander Paes and Martina Hingis storm into mixed doubles finals

Ageless Indian tennis legend Leander Paes and Martina Hingis beat Rohan Bopanna and Yung-Jan Chan 6-2, 7-5 to enter the mixed doubles finals at US Open in New York . Rohan Bopanna and his partner Yung-Jan Chan fought hard but eventually had to give in as they lost the semi-final to the Wimbledon champions. The fourth-seeded Indo-Swiss pair won the match in straight sets 6-2,7-5 in 61 minutes at Flushing Meadows’ Court 17.

They will play unseeded pair of Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Sam Querrey in the finals. The all-American team beat Andrea Hlavackova of Czech Republic and Lukasz Kubot of Poland 6-4, 6-3 in the first semi-final.

It has been a phenomenal year for the duo, Paes and Hingis have already won the Australia Open and Wimbledon titles this year. If they win the US Open 2015 it will be their third Grad Slam mixed doubles title thuis year
