Unattended bag found inside Dubai-Amritsar Spicejet flight



An unattended bag was found inside Spicejet flight at Amritsar airport. A bomb disposal squad immediately reached the site to inspect the bag.

The crew of Spicejet Flight 56 alerted the Air Traffic Control (ATC) about the suspicious article that they found on the flight. After the information, all the passengers were de-boarded safely from the flight.

The flight took off from Dubai on July 21, at 4:05AM and arrived at 8:51AM at Amritsar airport where the inspection procedure started after taking the plane off-track to an isolated place.

The plane which landed at Guru Ram Das Jee International Airport in Amritsar from Dubai today was inspected carefully and there was no harm to the passengers. Sources told TOI that initial investigations revealed that the said baggage belonged to an Indonesian Muslim women who didn’t board the plane after checking in at Dubai airport. The women is also held by security officials at Dubai airport for questioning, informed sources in the intelligence wing.
