Two clerics, Syed Asif Ali Nizami and Nazim Ali Nizami from Delhi’s Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya Dargah who were on a religious tour in Pakistan have gone missing. Syed Asif Ali Nizami, Head Priest (Sajjadanashin) of Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia dargah and his nephew Nazim al Nizami had gone to Pakistan on March 8.
The two clerics offered a “chadar” at Lahore’s Baba Farid’s shrine on March 13. On March 14, they offered another “chadar” at the Data Darbar Sufi shrine in Lahore.
According to sources, Nazim went missing from Lahore airport and Asif went missing after arriving at the Karachi airport. Nazim Ali Nizami was stopped to clear some documentation at Lahore airport and Asif Nizami was asked to board the flight.

In a series of tweets, Sushma Swaraj, Minster of External Affairs said, “Indian nationals Syed Asif li Nizami aged 80 years and his nephew Nazim Ali Nizami had gone to Pakistan on 8 March,”.

India had taken up the matter with Pakistan, she added.
