Two Class 12 students on September 27 murdered a teacher of Government Boys’ Senior Secondary School, Nangloi for informing their parents about their acts of indiscipline, according to the Delhi Police
The police said the crime took place around 5 pm when Kumar, around 45, a Hindi teacher was busy in some work. Seizing this opportunity, the students brandished a knife and attacked him. Kumar received stabbed wounds in his abdomen, thigh and waist.
Both the accused, (one of them is 18 while the other is a juvenile) have been arrested. The police rushed Kumar, who was bleeding profusely, to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
After registering a case, the Nangloi Police launched a manhunt for the students and arrested them on September 27 morning.
The duo was warned of being rusticated as they regularly remained absent from classes. Strictest possible action was assured by the Delhi Police against the juvenile accused as per the Juvenile Justice Act.
While this was so, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has announced a financial aid of Rs one crore to Kumar’s family. He also ordered a magisterial inquiry to investigate the murder.
