Passengers can book General and Tatkal quota train tickets on all routes in India along with the feature to book return tickets as well through this app.

The main feature that will make it a viable alternative to IRCTC app is that it offers content-support in six languages.

The service, powered by the IRCTC, should help distribute the heavy traffic on IRCTC servers. Along with booking tickets, the app also offers features such as fare details, PNR status, seat availability, selection of berth preference and safe and secure online payment.

Anshuman Bapna, chief product officer, MakeMyTrip.com said, “We are committed to using technology to make the travel-purchase experience convenient for travellers. We introduced several features that provide value and benefit to customers, such as return-booking facility which is not available on any mobile-app.”

The flight booking service from MakeMyTrip will receive support for languages other than Hindi and English, which might also see the introduction of Gujarati, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam languages.
