Barabanki district in central Uttar Pradesh has a literacy rate of 63.45 percent.
However, the female drop-out rate from schools in this region is quite high. The study done by the Center for the multi-sectoral development plan as per the Sacchar committee recommendations, has suggested for the opening more girls’ schools.
This primary school in Neoli Karsanda village, 15 km from the district headquarters of Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh has a strength of 100 students from class six to class eight. A majority of these students are from the SC, OBC and minority community.
