Union external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj as been admitted to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on 25 April night.
“She is presently under treatment for fever, chest congestion with features of pneumonia,” according to a statement from the hospital on 26 April.

Sushma Swaraj, 64, was scheduled to meet Pakistani Foreign Aizaz Ahmed Chaudhry who is in New Delhi to attend the Heart of Asia Istanbul conference.
For the first time, India will be hosting the Heart of Asia conference aimed at peace and stability in Afghanistan.
Last month, Swaraj had met her counterpart Sartaj Aziz at a summit in Nepal and highlighted that any talks between India and Pakistan the two countries will have to include a response from Islamabad on how it plans to act against the accused for attack on Pathankot air base in mid-January.
