Shivpal likely to announce new party after assembly polls

shivpal_yadavShivpal Yadav, brother of Samajwadi Party patriach Mulayam Singh Yadav, will form a new party, but after the results of the forthcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls are out.

As of now, there is no word which party Mulayam would choose to go with his son’s or his brother’s.

Stating that he owed his political career to his brother, Shivpal said those who said that they are what due to Netaji are insulting him today. It is a sad state of affairs, he added, referring to those in the SP.

Earlier, he filed his nomination as an SP member for the Jaswantnagar seat during the assembly polls to be held in February.

When queried, he said that Netaji was right to oppose the SP-Congress alliance as there was no life in that and refused to say anything else.

The launching of new party was always in the back of his head ever since the family rift came to fore in September last year.

The former state unit chief does not even figure in the list of 40 star campaigners released by the Samajwadi Party.

Shivpal who was the number two man in the state, has fallen from grace following the power struggle in the family.
