Sanjay Dutt applies for parole, yet again

Actsanjay-duttor Sanjay Dutt, has yet again, made an application to the Divisional Commissioner, for a 30 day parole. Dutt, who was convicted in the the 1993 Mumbai serial blast case, has on previous occasions, applied for, and been granted parole. He is currently in jail, since January 2015, when his last parole ended. According to the Indian Express, senior officials from the office of the Divisional Commissioner, have confirmed they had received a parole application from Dutt and that the application was being processed.

The Munna Bhai M.B.B.S actor, was sentenced to a five year jail term in 2007, for illegal possession of arms, in the ’93 Mumbai serial blasts case. Dutt has since, sporadically served his jail term.

In 2007 – 08, the 55 year old actor served 18 months of his jail term. Later, in 2013 – 14, he had been out for 118 days on either parole, or furlough.

Dutt is currently serving the last 42 months of his 5 year jail term.
