Prince William has become father of a baby girl on Saturday. The 33-year-old Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, delivered the second baby at the Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital where she was admitted earlier in the day. The baby weighs 8lbs 3oz.

Prince William was there for the birth in the hospital’s private Lindo Wing. Infact, Kate and William’s first baby, Prince George was born at the same hospital in July 2013. Die-hard royal fans were camping outside the hospital for days for a glimpse of the family. Royal protection officers, who carry concealed weapons at all times, were posted at the Lindo Wing in anticipation of Queen Elizabeth II’s newest great grandchild.

The new-born princess will be fourth in line to the throne, putting their uncle, Prince Harry, down to fifth and great uncle, Prince Andrew, out of the top five in the order of succession altogether.
