Real Madrid football club president Florentino Perez has said that any team could sign Christiano Ronaldo as long as it is willing to pay €1 billion buyout clause, which is worth more than $1.1 billion.
Paris Saint Germain is reportedly interested in signing the Portugese captain and Barcelona’s Lionel Messi. Paris Saint Germain have also been told that they will have to pay €1 billion to prise Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid.
The Ligue One club had been linked with a move for the 30-year-old this summer, and were rumoured to have made a last minute offer of €110m for the striker. Florentino Perez, however, has warned PSG that they will have to smash the world record transfer fee in order to sign the Portuguese captain.
In 2013, Ronaldo signed a five-year contract with Real Madrid worth $206 million. “No one is a prophet in football but we don’t want to sell him in 2016. There are still three years left on his contract.”
