Stating that she has received several threats, she said, “I will not get scared. And it does not matter to me that you are an organisation which is in power.”

She said, “I will not be browbeaten. I have the courage to take a bullet for the nation just like my father. I want all students to protest violence and say that they will not tolerate this.”

It may be noted Delhi University’s Ramjas College had on February 22 witnessed violence between members of the AISA and ABVP.

“I got to know that girl students were assaulted during the protest in Ramjas College. It is time action is taken against ABVP or for that matter any student body that tries to challenge the land,” she added.

After the Ramjas College clash, she changed her profile picture on Facebook. The new picture shows her holding a placard that reads, “I am a student from Delhi University. I am not afraid of ABVP.”

On February 27, celebrities, including former cricketer Virender Sehwag, and actor Randeep Hooda attacked her. Jumping on the bandwagon, Union MoS for Home Kiren Rijiju tweeted, “Who’s polluting this young girl’s mind? A strong Arm Force prevents a war. India never attacked anyone but a weak India was always invaded.”

To Kaur’s tweet thanking Hooda’s tweet for encouraging hate, he tweeted, “Pls don’t credit me with so much. Your peace video was good bt now it’s political not humanitarian. That’s the problem2 begin wth.”

Meanwhile, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal posted Kaur’s video claiming she had received death threats and said that everyone must rise against BJP’s goondaism.
