Welcoming the Supreme Court’s suggestion for an out-of-court settlement in Ramjanambhoomi-Babri Masjid case, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath on April 3 said that that all concerned parties should negotiate and come to a solution to the issue.
It may be noted here that the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya had figured in the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) UP manifesto too. Hailing the SC suggestion, the party said all parties should keep in mind the sensitivity of the issue while discussing it.
On March 21, the SC said that matters of religion and Ramjanambhoomi case are delicate matters and should be treated as such. Chief Justice JS Khehar said such issues can be solved only through negotiations. All the concerned parties must thrash out the issue but cordially, he said. The CJI said this after BJP MP Subramanian Swamy approached the top court urging for daily hearings in the matter.
Meanwhile Adityanath said that the Ram Temple matter should be sorted out amicably and he and his government was available for any help (in the issue).
