After repeated disruptions over the CBI raids, the Rajya Sabha was adjourned for the day. The House will assemble on 16 December.

The Congress has been raising the Dalit issue in both Houses, storming the well and leading the Upper and Lower Houses to repeated adjournments.

Both Houses of Parliament saw protests by opposition members over the CBI raids at Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal’s office on 15 December morning. Union finance minister Arun Jaitley shouted above the din to make himself heard.

Refuting the charges, he said the raid had nothing to do with Kejriwal, but was against his principal secretary.

It may be mentioned ahead of the session on 15 December morning, Parliamentary party members of the BJP and the Congress, held a meeting to discuss their strategy for the day and that nothing would be achieved during repeated adjournments.

Rajya Sabha saw multiple adjournments, while Lok Sabha saw a discussion over various issues including the death of a Dalit in Punjab. Speaker Sumitra Mahajan made it clear to the members that state matters will not be raised in the House.

External affairs minister Sushma Swaraj, who could not heard in the din, went on social media and slammed those who questioned her wearing a green sari and speaking in Urdu.

Meanwhile, Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad while speaking to reporters said that only the principal secretary of the Delhi chief minister was raided at 14 various places, including his office. He said that Arvind Kejriwal usage of unparliamentary language was unacceptable and condemnable. He said that  he should tender an unconditional apology to the PM for calling him a coward and psychopath.
