Passing out parade of 312 NDA graduates



The passing out parade ceremony of those cadets who had completed the 130th course of National Defence Academy (NDA), Khadakwasla was held on 31 May at Pune.

As many as 312 cadets have graduated from the NDA and passed through the prestigious Khetrapal Parade Ground in the NDA premises.

Those who had passed out included 211 cadets from the Indian Army, 36 cadets from the Navy and 65 cadets from the Indian Air Force.

Fourteen cadets from friendly countries such as Bhutan, Sudan, Kyrgyzstan,Tonga, Papua New Guinea and Afghanistan were also part of the outgoing NDA course.Marching contingent

Lt Gen Bipin Rawat, General Officer Commanding-In-Chief, Southern Command was the chief guest (reviewing officer) of POP ceremony.

The Lt Gen congratulated the cadets and thanked their parents for sending their wards to the academy.

Cadet Captain Avinash Chhetry won the President’s Gold Medal for standing first in the overall order of merit.

Cadet Adjutant Utkarsh Pandey won the Silver Medal for standing second in the overall order of merit and Battalion Cadet Captain Naman Bhatt bagged the Bronze Medal for standing third in the overall order of merit.

Reviewing parade

The November Squadron bagged the prestigious ‘Chief of Staff Banner’, which was ceremonially presented during the parade.
