One BSF jawan killed, 3 hurt as Pak violates ceasefire in Rajouri sector

Indian-ArmyPakistan on November 20 night violated ceasefire killing one BSF jawan, and injuring three others in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.

This was the third instance of cross-border by Pakistan since November 19.

The Indian army responded well to the heavy cross-border firing by Pakistan. The ceasefire violation came a day after a Border Security Force (BSF) jawan and a civilian were injured and two houses damaged when Pakistan Rangers fired on Indian posts and civilian areas along the Line of Control (LoC) in Nowshera and Sunderbani sectors of Rajouri with mortar attacks and small arms fire.

On November 19 morning, the Pakistani troops violated ceasefire in the Nowshera sector and by afternoon started firing in Sunderbani sector.

There have been 286 incidents of ceasefire violation by Pakistan along the LoC in J&K, since the surgical strike on terrorist launch pads in PoK on September 29, resulting in the death of 12 civilians and 14 security personnel.
