Nitish Kumar’s Janata Durbar is back


nitish-kumarBack with a bang, Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar’s Janata Ka Durbar received around 1000 complaints within nine hours after he resumed his interaction with the public in public courts.

Nitish Kumar has asked the police, general administration, and registration department to look into the complaints and seek help from Bihar’s police chief PK Thakur and other senior officials to sort them out.

The Janata Durbar began in April 2006 but was discontinued in September last year.

The durbar session began at 10.30 am at Nitish Kumar’s official residence in Patna at 1 Anne Marg and continued without any break till 7.30 pm, where he held a transparent interaction with people and heard grievances of about 1007 people, including 218 women.

The masses were mostly from rural areas who came up with several complaints and grievances.
