Congress President Sonia Gandhi calls the PM Modi-led government “arrogant” for the Naga peace accord saying it was signed with Nationalist Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN-IM) without consulting the Chief Ministers of the state.
Sonia, speaking to reporters outside Parliament, said, “PM Modi did not even think of taking into confidence our Manipur CM, Assam CM, Arunachal Pradesh CM who are directly affected.”
She further questioned how they can sign an accord with NSCN without consulting Nagaland CM. “This is another show of arrogance by the Modi government,” she said.
Protesting against the suspension of 25 Congress MPs, Sonia further protested that the government was not taking any action against three of their allegedly tainted leaders – Sushma Swaraj, Vasundhara Raje and Shivraj Singh Chouhan. They are not making their ministers resign who are directly related to Vyapam scam and the Lalit Modi fiasco, she said.
