Mortal remains of martyred soldiers in Manipur to be brought to the Capital

ambush- 2The mortal remains of the 6 Dogra Regiment’s martyred soldiers of one of the deadliest attack in 20 years, will be bought to the capital today, and tomorrow. Army spokesperson Col Rohan Ananad said,” “The intensity been increased on ground. The Mortal remains of the soldiers will be bought in today and tomorrow and will be sent to their respective hometowns.”  The banned Naga insurgent outfit, NSCN (Khaplang), has in a media release, claimed responsibility for the ambush in Manipur.

The media release claimed that, 20 army personnel, including a junior commissioned officer, were killed and 12 others injured in the incident. The media release also claimed that the attack was carried out in ‘sync’ with other outfits. “We will wait for concrete movements before we take a call,” Col Anand said.
