Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) on 30 May filed an FIR against Tanmay Bhat’s two-minute video mocking cricket legend, Sachin Tendulkar and veteran singer Lata Mangeshkar. The video titled ‘Sachin vs Lata Civil War’ went viral soon after it was posted on social media and sparked strong reactions. AIB is known for their pranks but this time many feel, they have gone too far.
On 28 May, before the video went viral, Bhat had tweeted his expectations from the upcoming video, followed by several other suggestive tweets. It is speculated that this might be intended as a social experiment by the comedian.
