Speaking to NDTV, described herself as an ‘LIP’ or Less Important Person when she was asked whether she saw herself as a prime ministerial candidate in 2019.
“I am a commoner, an LIP… I like to work with people. I am not greedy. If you call me the chief minister, I will not be happy. If you call me Mamata Di, I will be happy,” she said.
“I have so many friends I can work with such as Chandrababu Naidu, Arvind Kejriwal, Nitish Kumar, Jayalalithaa, Mayawati…” she said. Attacking BJP, she said, “I am against BJP’s ideology because they like to divide and rule.”
