In a shocking incident, two men in China’s eastern Jiangsu Province attempted  to sell their kidneys to buy the Apple’s latest phone, the iPhone 6s, according to reports.  Wu, one of the duo, wanted an iPhone 6s but could not afford and his friend, Huang, suggested they sell a kidney each, for money, in order to buy the phone.

According to the state-run China Daily, the two men found an illegal agent on the internet who asked them to take medical examinations at a hospital in Nangjing. The agent, however, didn’t turn up when they arrived at the hospital.

They later reconsidered selling the organs. Wu told his friend, Huang, to stop the plan but Huang did not listen. Following which Wu called the police, but Huang ran away and has been out of reach ever since.

In April 2012, Chinese authorities had indicted five people in central China for involvement in illegal organ trading after a teenager sold one of his kidneys to earn money to buy an iPhone and an iPad and in August 2012, a teenager in China sold his kidney for 22, 000 yuan to buy an iPhone and an iPad.
