Kejriwal admits giving perks to 17 co-terminus staff, eight contractual staff

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is no different to the rule. The Delhi government has confessed to have given perks, such as official houses and cars, to a few party members.

The government said, these 17 party members have been appointed as co-terminus staff with the AAP,  in reply to BJP MLA OP Sharma’s question.

The government said, Bibhav Kumar, Private Secretary to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Aswathi Muralidharan, Joint Secretary to Chief Minister, have been allotted official houses.

The government also said that, these staff are drawing a grade pay of Rs 8,700 per month, which is equivalent to senior IAS officers.

Apart from them, eight contractual staff members have also been hired and they draw a pay of Rs 60,000 to Rs 1.15 lakh.

This apart, there are two advisors who work on a salary of Rs one per month.
