IS threatens India with Las Vegas-type ‘Lone Wolf’ terror attacks

The message sent by the Terror group Islamic State (IS) has clearly given a stern warning of carrying out ‘Lone Wolf’ attacks across the country. The clip, sent through instant chat application, Telegram Messenger, from Afghanistan was verified by the police and NIA.

A few weeks ago the police stumbled upon the message in Malayalam reportedly sent by Rashid Abdullah, said media reports.

The 10-minute long audio clip released calls for Las Vegas-type terror attacks on crowds mobbing in Indian festivals like Kumbh Mela and Thrissur Pooram.

The male voice in the clip encouraged ISIS followers to use their own intellect to choose how to kill people of other religions. It called upon the sympathisers to launch attacks like the Las Vegas shooting in which 59 people lost their lives.

The clip also quoted verses from the Quran in Malayalam.

“You use your intellect. Poison their in food. Use trucks. Drive over them at Thirssur Pooram or at Maha Kumbh Mela. IS Mujahideen are doing it in several parts of the world. In Las Vegas, one of our supporters killed many people at a music concert. At least you should try to derail a train. Or use a knife,” said the voice in the clip, according to reports.

The voice is said to be of Rashid Abdullah– ISIS terrorist who had left India to join the terror group in Afghanistan. The National Investigative Agency (NIA) has also chargesheeted him under IPC sections 120B r/w 125 and Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) Sections 38,39 and 40.

An Interpol Red Notice has also been issued against him.

“If you are not able to do that despite your prayers and efforts, then you should financially support Daulatul Islam and Islamic State,” the male voice said.
