Infosys techie murdered in broad daylight at Chennai railway station

In a horrific incident, an Infosys employee was murdered in broad daylight at Chennai’s Nungambakkam Railway Station. The victim, identified as S. Swathi, 24- year-old woman, was waiting at platform number 2 for the train when a man in green shirt and black pants approached her.

According to eyewitnesses, soon a heated argument broke between the two and the accused took out a sharp weapon from his bag and stabbed her.

Swathi was left to bleed to death. The police managed to take her body to the mortuary only after two hours after of the incident.

“We could not see anything further as a huge crowd gathered around the woman. Soon after the attack, the man fled the spot,” an eyewitness said.

Police suspect that the assailant was an acquaintance of the victim. According to the police, there were no CCTV cameras at the railway station. They are questioning friends and family of the techie to nab the killer.

Victim’s father had dropped her at the station few minutes before the incident took place.
