Hindu organisations cry foul as Dera chief is Lord Vishnu in video

Dera Sacha Sauda leader Gurmeet Ram Rahim has allegedly invited the wrath of the AIHF for dressing up as Lord Vishnu in a video.

A complaint has been lodged against the Dera chief by Nishant Sharma, president, All India Hindu Federation (AIHF) for hurting the sentiments of Hindus at large.

The self-styled godman can been seen coming down from heavens as Lord Vishnu in the video, which left the federation spluttering and fuming.

“We submitted a complaint at the Zirakpur police station, which is hesitating to register a case against him.”

However, the police confirmed of having received a complaint, but refused to be photographed or come on camera. The AIHF warned to move court if the police do not act against the Dera chief.

In view of the forthcoming Assembly elections in Punjab, the government may not be keen to take action against the baba as the self-styled godman has a strong support base in Doaba region of Punjab.

Recently, TV actor Kiku Sharda was arrested after the Dera chief’s followers complained against him. Sharda had reportedly mimicked the Dera Sacha Sauda chief. Ram Rahim is now facing similar charges himself.
