According to reports, Pradeep Arya, Honeypreet’s lawyer has claimed that on September 25, she has visited his office in Lajpat Nagar to sign the anticipatory bail application.
“It took time for her to decide I guess. As soon she contacted us, we took necessary steps. Honeypreet came today in the afternoon at my office in Delhi’s Lajpat Nagar to sign the bail papers,” he added.
“We will file a transit anticipatory bail in Delhi High Court on Tuesday and would request for an urgent hearing,” Arya said.
The Delhi high court will hear her bail plea on September 27.
Post Ram Rahim’s arrest, Honeypreet has become the most wanted fugitive accused of inciting violence August 25.
Earlier this month, the Haryana police released a most wanted list of 43 members who triggered mob violence and riots in Panchkula and Sirsa.
On August 25, the Dera chief was arrested for raping his two female followers, after which riots ensued in Panchkula killing at least 38 and injuring over 250.
