First look: Works in the making


Brother Talk. Theatre company Pierrot’s Troupe performs Big B, a play based on Premchand’s story Bade Bhai Saheb. Called an ‘Ind-lish’ comedy, it is about two English-educated Hindi-speaking brothers.

Scene 1 Take 1. Two Blind Mice is a play based on scene one of Samuel Beckett’s Waiting for Godot. Vladimir and Estragon meet Pozzo and Lucky during their endless wait for Godot. Directed by Chandan Roy Sanyal.

Meta-Theatrical. Stories in a Song is a musical about musicians facing hardship while making music. Stories of struggles take life on stage through kajri, thumri-dadra, khayal, remixes and other forms, bringing together theatre, music and literature.
