Seems Aam Aadmi Party cannot keep itself away from legal controversies for long. An FIR has been lodged against the Sajjan Kumar, husband of Bandana Kumari the AAP legislator and Delhi Assembly Dy. Speaker for pressurising the Sarvoday Vidyalay principal for an admission. The FIR comes just two days after Kondli MLA Manoj Kumar arrest in a “forgery case”.
Ranjeet Singh—Sarvoday Vidyalay (Shalimar Bagh) principal in a letter to Education Department complained that Kumar has threatened him of “dire consequences”. According to Singh the Shalimar Bagh MLA’s husband called him on Wednesday, 8th July and without introducing himself, started inquiring about an admission he referred. Following which the principal asked Kumar to meet him in person. The letter said, “He then came to the school and started talking loudly… He did not listen to my point of view and told me to either take VRS or threatened to get me terminated.” The MLA’s husband had accepted that heated exchange took place and he too had filed a complaint with the Education Department.
Police said that Singh has submitted the audio tape of telephonic conversation to substantiate his claims. Charges leveled on him are 146 (rioting), 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty), and 506/34 (punishment for criminal intimidation).
