Faridabad gets its own Post Office Passport Seva Kendra

Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Krishan Pal Gurja inaugurated a Post Office Passport Seva Kendra (POPSK ) in Faridabad on April 26.

With the success of the two pilot projects of Ministry of External Affairs and the Department of Posts, the government had scaled up the programme by opening 56 such facilities in the first batch and eight in the second batch all over the country.

The pilot projects for this joint venture between the Ministry of External Affairs and the Department of Posts were inaugurated on January 25.

“With the inauguration of POPSK in Faridabad, citizens will have the convenience to submit their passport applications in Faridabad itself,” reads the statement of External Affairs Ministry.

Before the opening of his centre, the people of Faridabad had to visit New Delhi or Passport Seva Kendra in Gurugram.
