Delhi Police Crime Branch busted a huge racket of fake admissions being run in top Delhi University colleges, on Thursday. Four, including a college student were arrested in the racket aiding aspirants to secure admission in DU, via illegal means. The police has also put college officials under the scanner, for further investigation.
Joint CP (Crime) Ravindra Yadav confirmed the arrests, adding “A team led by ACP KPS Malhotra carried out the operation. Raids are continuing. We will share information soon”.
The Crime Branch deployed sources at colleges after receiving a tip-off about the racket as well as the suspects. The teams laid traps and arrested the accused, including a second year college student, on Wednesday night. An FIR has been registered and those arrested are being interrogated to uncover the entire truth of the fake admission racket in Delhi University.
