Bollywood actress Dolly Bindra on Monday accuses the controversial self-style godwoman, Radhe Maa, of sexually exploiting her in Chandigarh.
Bindra, in her complaint to police, alleges that Radhe Maa and her supporters sexually harassed her during a religious function in June 2014 at the house of a retired Punjab Police official in Sector 36. The actress had filed a complaint, on September 28.
Following the complaint, a special investigation team (SIT) was formed on Monday to probe the allegations against self-proclaimed godwoman Radhee Maa aka Sukhwinder Kaur. It will be headed by ASP (south) Navdeep Singh Brar.
Brar said, “We have recorded the statement of the complainant and started examining the witnesses. The religious function was held at the house of a retired senior Punjab Police officer. He will be contacted.”
The actress, in her statement, said, “The incident dates back to the intervening night of April 23/24 when I had come to attend ‘Mata ki chowki’ at a house of a senior cop in Sector 36. I was sexually harassed on that intervening night.”
In August, a video of Radhe Maa’s devotees carrying her around during satsangs had gone viral, and recently, she was granted anticipatory bail in connection with a dowry harassment case in Mumbai.
