The documents showing Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje’s support for former IPL boss Lalit Modi’s ‘immigration plea is yet to be verified, said the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Responding to questions, BJP leader Sudhanshu Trivedi said the Rajasthan chief minister did not deny her close family links with Lalit Modi, but “the documents in public domain are yet to be verified”.
Also,Trivedi said the document shared by Modi do not have Raje’s signature, but BJP sources say the charge against Raje is being taken gravely. So far, nobody in the party’s top leadership has spoken in her defense.
As far as Raje’s son and BJP MP from Jhalawar-Baran Dushyant Singh’s case is concerned, all the facts about his company, Niyant Heritage Private Limited, are already in public domain as they find a mention in his IT return and election affidavit, Sudhanshu Trivedi said.
When questioned about party’s stand on Sushma Swaraj, the BJP leader said that there was nothing more to add to what the party president Amit Shah and Union home minister Rajnath Singh have said.
