Belonging to the Neo-Jamaatul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB), the four in the age group of 21 to 28 were arrested in a raid on January 31 in a rented accommodation in Jatrabari as per Rapid Action Battalion spokesperson Mufti Mahmud Khan.
The four operatives, whose group has plead allegiance to Islamic State , carried out the deadly terror attack on July 1 in Dhaka. One of the militants was an IT expert, he added.
The RAB said they seized two pistols, 21 bullets, four sharp weapons, gun powder and bomb-making materials from the house.
The Bangladesh police have killed around 50 suspected Islamists in raids since the cafe attack, including the mastermind of the attack Bangladesh-born Canadian citizen Tamim Ahmed Chowdhury.
