Delhi, NCR wakes up to earthquake measuring 4.3 on Richter scale

earthquakeNew Delhi and parts of National Capital Region (NCR) were badly shaken by an earthquake on November 17 at around 4.30 am.

The magnitude of the earthquake measured around 4.3 on the Richter scale and the epicentre was the Delhi-Haryana border.

However, no loss of lives or property has been reported so far.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the epicentre of the earthquake was at south-east of Bawal in Haryana. The earthquake began at a depth of 10km.

Several people began tweeting as soon as the buildings started shaking in the region. The tremors, which were felt for a minute, were felt across Delhi, Gurgaon, NCR, including Ghaziabad.
