Intro: Born in Baas village in Hisar, Haryana, Pawan Kumar Sharma was a part of IAC’s anti-corruption movement. A close associate of Arvind Kejriwal, Sharma is also an important part of AAP’s traders’ wing and is associated with various religious and social organisations in his constituency. He is also one of the founding members of AAP.

Intro: Devinder Sehrawat is an ex-army man and it was his third election since 2013. After unsuccessfully contesting 2013 Delhi Assembly polls and 2014 Lok Sabha polls from South Delhi, he finally emerged victorious from Bijwasan constituency and defeated three-time incumbent BJP MLA. An IIM-Ahmedabad alumnus, Sehrawat is a multi-faceted personality with having worked as a soldier, journalist, social activist and a farmers’ leader.

Intro: A former BJP councilor, Bhavna was a part of IAC’s Janlokpal Andolan. She contested 2013 Vidhan Sabha elections and lost by a margin of over 8,000 votes. She came to limelight after she featured in the fake sting which surfaced in the media during 2013 Assembly polls. A social activist, Bhavna has been an advocate of Swaraj and wants politics to reach at grass-root level.

Intro: A social activist, Rai is a part of national executive of AAP. He lost the 2013 Assembly polls and stood third with just 25,723 votes. He was a student leader during his college days in Lucknow and was also shot at during his campaign against criminal in political parties in Uttar Pradesh. He actively participated in AAP’s fund collection drive — ‘Main bhi aam aadmi’ after 2013 Assembly polls results.

Intro: He was a sitting councilor before being elected as MLA. A nature’s lover, his hobbies are planting trees. He is also a party of Lion’s Club Delhi. He has also orgainsed various health and blood donation camps in his constituency.

Intro: Ved Prakash is a social activist from last 20 years. He was an active member of Jan Lokpal Andolan. He has actively participated in protest against inflated power bill and water issues in Delhi. He also actively participated in protests for landless villagers.

Intro: A former DUSU president, she was also the national president of Congress’ youth wing. After serving Congress for nearly 20 years, she joined AAP on 26 December, 2013. After she joined AAP, she has been working at the grass-root level to strengthen party cadre and opening party offices at various locations. She also started an NGO ‘Go India Foundation’ in 2006 to empower youth and encourage them to take part in political, social and economic development of the country.

Intro: A former BJP man, Kartar Singh has been a municipal councilor from Bhati for the past seven years before being elected as an MLA. He defeated the incumbent BJP MLA Brahm Singh Tanwar from Chhatarpur.

Intro: A former Apple man and grand son of Lal Bahadur Shastri, Adarsh left his lucrative job to join AAP. He also contested the Lok Sabha polls from Allahabad but lost. Adarsh also led AAP’s much-talked about Delhi Dialogue campaign, an initiative to make Delhi a world class city.

Praveen-Kumar---JangpuraName: Praveen Kumar

Margin: 20,450 votes

Intro: Praveen defeated incumbent MLA MS Dhir, who won the seat as an AAP legislator in 2013. Dhir defected into BJP after he was denied the ticket. He is one of the founder members of AAP and is currently its Delhi vice-president. During the AAP’s 49-day government, Praveen worked as an OSD to then state Education Minister Manish Sisodia.

Intro: Avtar Singh has earlier successfully contested Delhi Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee elections. He joined AAP before the Lok Sabha election and worked actively in Kalkaji area during the election.

Raghuvinder along with the other residents of his area approached MCD for opening a primary school, the MCD rejected their appeal citing no land was available. He along with other residents raised money and bough a land of 1400 Sq yards for the primary school and offered to MCD to open a primary school where 3000 students are enrolled at present.

Intro: A social activist Khan has worked as an active peacemaker in Okhla and raised voice against false allegations leveled against Muslims. After being elected an MLA, he said he would seek probe in 2008 Batla House encounter in which two suspected terrorists and one police officer were killed.
