Portugal and Real Madrid football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo surely has a heart of gold . The superstar footballer recently donated five million pounds to Nepal earthquake charity fund with an intention to help the survivors. According to French publication So Foot, the Real Madrid star gave the hefty sum of money to global organisation ‘Save the Children’, the Mirror reported. The 30-year-old footie ace has also used his Facebook and Twitter pages to urge fans to donate to relief efforts.
‘Save the Children’ is one of the main charities involved in helping survivors of last month’s devastating disaster which killed more than 7,000 people. It not the first time Ronaldo took to charity for cause , He is believed to have paid for a 10-month old boy to have brain surgery last year.
And in 2004 he flew to the aid of Indonesian tsunami victims after he saw footage of a young man wearing a Portugal shirt with his name on the back.
