Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Vice President Rahul Gandhi have begun their ‘intolerance march ‘ to the Rashtrapati Bhawan against the ‘rising intolerance’ observed after the Dadri lynching, and other such cases.
Several prominent leaders including Manmohan singh, Ghulam Nabi Azaad, and Ajit Jogi have turned up, along with volunteers, to handover the memorandum to the President Pranab Mukherjee.
Around 100 Congress leaders have joined this march against the rising intolerance in the country.
Congress through this march has accused the Modi government of raising communal tensions across the country.
In response to the march, BJP has slammed the Congress for initiating the protest. Furthermore, BJP Leader Sambit Patra said that this march is just a sign of frustration, and a way to divert attention from Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law Robert Vadra’s deals.
Patra believes that India is the most tolerant country in the world and the Congress should not take up the responsibility of preaching tolerance.
