Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the civil servants should manage time well, and asked if they spend quality time with their family.

Addressing a gathering of bureaucrats on the civil services day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the civil servants should manage time well, and asked if they spend quality time with their family.

 Narendra Modi, addressing at the event, asked, “Has your life turned robotic? If so, then it will have an affect the government.” We will not be able to serve people until the ”insaan” (human) within us remains alive, he added.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also conferred awards for excellence in public administration to civil service officers and congratulated all the winners of the awards.

 “The ‘ART’ of good governance is A- Accountability, R-Responsibility and T-Transparency. We need to give priority to perfection and capacity building,” Modi said.

 The two-day programme was inaugurated by Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances. Union Human Resources and Development (HRD) Minister Smriti Irani also chaired a session on the social sector.
