Manish Sisodia Hits Out At CBI Raids

Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia

In the escalating war-of-words between AAP and Centre, Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia lashed out at Modi-led NDA government, saying that  it is trying to control the state government.

The AAP leader said the files seized by CBI have nothing to do with corruption charges against Rajendra Kumar.

“If that was not a raid at Chief Minster’s office, then why was his office’s file movement register of November and December was seized?” asked Sisodia.

Earlier in the day, following his “Modi is psychopath” remark, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, came up with a fresh allegation against Central Bureau of Investigation, accusing it of seizing documents “unrelated” to the agency’s probe against his Principal Secretary, and claimed that a file relating to DDCA was scrutinized by it.

Launching a fresh attack at Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, the 47-year-old CM said, “Jaitley had “misled” Parliament by saying that the Agency did not raid the Chief Minister’s office.”

Kejriwal, in a series of tweets, said, “ CBI kept reading DDCA file in my office. They wud hv seized it. But after my media briefing, they left it. Not clear if they took a copy. Docs seized from my office. No relation to allegations being probed.Item 7 -file movement register of last one month.”

Kejriwal, who had yesterday dismissed the allegations against him as “rubbish”, suggested that the Union minister Jaitley was worried about Delhi government’s probe into the functioning of DDCA.

The Delhi CM, through his Twitter handle, also showed image of a document listing the files allegedly taken away by CBI from Delhi Secretariat during its day-long raid yesterday.

Yesterday, the Central Bureau of Investigation raided the office of Rajendra Kumar, the Kejriwal’s Principal Secretary, in a corruption case triggering a fresh war-of-words fresh between the Delhi Government and Centre.

Kejriwal had claimed he was in fact the target and that Kumar was just an excuse. He also called Prime Minister a “Coward and a Psychopath”.
