Box Office: “Welcome Back” Earns 51 Cr in First Three Days

The weekend collection of “Welcome Back” has crossed Rs 51 cr. After earning Rs 14.35 crore on Friday and Rs 17.05 crore on Saturday, the film collected a respectable Rs 19.06 crore on Sunday bringing its total tally to Rs 51 cr.

Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “#WelcomeBack packs a SOLID punch. Fri 14.35 cr, Sat 17.05 cr, Sun 19.60 cr. Total: Rs 51 cr. India biz. EXTRAORDINARY!”

Welcome Back is Anees Bazmee’s sequel to his 2007 hit, Welcome. In Welcome, Akshay Kumar is in the lead role and the film was second highest grosser of 2007, after Om Shanti Om. Featuring John Abraham, Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor, “WelcomeBack” a earned massive Rs. 14.35 crores on its opening day and become the third biggest opener of 2015 after Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Brothers.

The John Abraham and Shruti Haasan starer was released in over 3,500 cinema halls in the domestic market and 500 screens in the key international markets, on September 4.
