Just a day after two airplanes bound to Paris were diverted because of bomb threat, an European Boeing 747 with 161 people en route to Egypt from Poland made an emergency landing in Bulgaria after it was reported that a bomb was placed on board the aircraft.
According to reports, all passengers and crews were evacuated soon after it landed in Burgas, but any explosives were found from the plane.
“A 64-year-old passenger reported about the bomb and is already being questioned by law enforcers,” Xinhua news agency quoted Bulgaria’s Nova TV as saying on Thursday.
The threat came a day after the Islamic State’s official magazine carried a photo on Wednesday “claiming” how they brought down the Russian airliner over Sinai peninsula. This is the third flight in 48 hours to make a diversion.
Following the Paris attacks which claimed 129 live, these kinds of threat even is taken seriously by the aviation safety department across the globe.
More details awaited…
